EMINENCE STRAWBERRY RHUBARB DERMAFOLIANT

Has a dual-action exfoliating effect utilizing rice powder, lactic acid and salicylic acid to remove dead cells and reveal fresh, radiant skin. Add to the Firm Skin Acai Cleanser at night for a deeper cleanse or alone as your exfoliator.

PRO TIP:

Leave the dermafoliant on the skin for a few minutes before rinsing to let the lactic and salicylic acids work their mild-exfoliating magic!

BABOR ENZYME CLEANSER

A unique enzymatic exfoliating cleanser. Oily and acneic skin types, blend the enzyme with Babor Cleansing Gel and Tonic, remove with a warm shammy.

PRO TIP:

Use the Enzyme Cleanser on the bikini area before and after hair removal to help prevent ingrowns. Be sure to avoid extra sensitive bits!

BABOR REPAIR RX ULTIMATE REPAIR CLEANSER

This rich, creamy cleanser is ideal for dry/dehydrated skin. It helps to repair the top layer with nourishing lipidic moisture while gently and effectively cleansing.

PRO TIP:

Combine with Babor Enzyme Cleanser daily. Leave the gentle mixture on your skin while you wash your hair or brush your teeth, then rinse for a deeper cleanse.

Toning and hydrating oil infused with nourishing, balancing and calming ingredients. This oil is so gentle I regularly use it on my four-year-old daughter’s delicate skin!

BABOR REPAIR RX ULTIMATE REPAIR MASK

Formulated with 15% biogen plant extract, royal jelly and panthenol, it supports the skin’s rejuvenation mechanisms and helps repair the barrier of the skin.

PRO TIP:

After cleansing, apply a thin layer of the mask onto the face, neck and décolletage, let sit for 10 minutes and rinse, or massage remaining product until absorbed and simply go to bed! Use any excess on the hands.

SKIN AUTHORITY SUPER-C SERUM

This highly concentrated serum contains a whopping 20% ascorbic acid. With continued daily use the skin will appear firmer and brighter, helping to fade discolorations and fine lines.

PRO TIP:

Use in the AM - a few drops pressed into the skin are all you need! Replace every three months to ensure product efficacy.

The products you use during winter should be very different than the ones used in summer!

With every skin type, it's important to CLEANSE, EXFOLIATE, AND MOISTURIZE DAILY

in order to keep optimal results (a serum and toner are added bonuses!).

Everyone wants to have healthy skin all year round; to achieve this, you have to think about each season and what your skin needs.

Acneic Skin

Cleanse skin daily with a foam or gel-based cleanser, exfoliate three times a week with a gentle chemical exfoliant or scrub, and use either a serum or spot treatment and moisturizer. During winter, be sure to use a more hydrating moisturizer but continue exfoliating regularly to increase cell turnover.

 

During the summer it’s very important to find a natural sunscreen as acne products have the potential to react with sun rays and can cause burning and redness, prolonging acne scarring.

MATURE Skin

Cleanse skin daily with a cream-based cleanser, especially during the drier winter months and exfoliate with a chemical-based product. Look for AHAs or BHAs (chemicals and enzymes that eat away at dead skin) as opposed to scrubs, which can be damaging to mature skin. Follow up with a good hydrating serum and anti-aging moisturizer and eye cream.

 

During the summer, a lighter, more whipped texture is your

go-to rather than a heavy cream.

SENSITIVE OR DULL Skin

Sensitive and dull skin needs to be treated with care but don’t be too nervous to exfoliate, even with skin disorders such as Rosacea or Keratosis Pilaris (causes rough patches and small bumps on the skin). Use a chemical-based exfoliant, calming serums and moisturizers. Scrubs can cause irritation and more redness so finding the right exfoliant for your skin is a must.

Everybody can benefit from chemical peels! I suggest either a series or doing them at the changing of seasons: in fall to erode all the sun damage that summer caused and in the spring to buff away dry and thick winter skin, for example. I do chemicals peels monthly to keep my skin smooth and supple and ready to receive all skin care products.

BROW & FACIAL WAXING

I recommend brow waxing every 2-3 WEEKS depending on how fast your hair grows. If you are trying to GROW THICKER BROWS, I highly recommend RevitaBrow, which stimulates hair growth. Most see new hair growth after just one month of use. Other facial waxing services typically need to be done ONCE A MONTH.

BODY WAXING

WAIT AT LEAST TWO WEEKS before coming in for a body waxing service if you have shaved to make sure the hair is long enough to be waxed. FOR BEST RESULTS, repeat waxing service every 4-6 weeks depending on hair growth. To prevent ingrown hairs and for smoother skin, exfoliation is key! Using a loofah and/or scrub daily in the shower works great. Also give PFB Vanish a try - made specifically for reducing ingrown hairs, it has an easy roll on applicator for easy use after showering.

WAXING TIPS

AVOID tanning or sun exposure 48 hours before waxing and 24 hours after. Also be sure to REFRAIN from swimming or anything where you'll be sitting in water for 24 hours after waxing.

BODY SCRUBS

Apply body scrub during your morning shower, after your skin regenerates overnight while you sleep. Hop into the shower and dampen the skin; point the water away from you and work in the scrub, then rinse off. Try one of our NATUROPATHICA BODY SCRUBS: Lemongrass Mimosa or Espresso Mud, available at all Gene Juarez locations.

DRY BRUSH

Dry brush before your morning shower to increase circulation,

exfoliate and promote lymph flow.

BELLY MASSAGES

Belly massages are a great way to aid digestion! Massage some oil on your abdomen and work in a circular motion starting around the navel. Doing this at bedtime for 5-10 minutes can help with tummy disturbances from the rich holiday meals.
