A lot of my clients have been adding a SHADOW ROOT wanting brighter highlights to frame the face,

and lowlights through the crown. Adding in the lowlights and shadows makes the color

LOWER MAINTENANCE while making the blonder pieces around the FACE POP.

If you have light hair,

adding dimension is

the trendy way to go.

If adding dimension

is too much of a change,

intensify what you've got!

We now have @PURE PIGMENTS, new from Goldwell, which is a color additive

that helps make icy blondes icier, golden blondes shinier and fashion tones more intense.

For people with

DARKER hair...

A PARTIAL BALAYAGE is a great way to add lighter pieces but still stay true to your brunette roots.

Your colorist can pick up individual pieces to ACCENTUATE your haircut and style.

The HIGHLIGHTS can be as SUBTLE OR DRAMATIC as you want them to be.

If you have a NATURALLY WARM UNDERTONE try pairing it with a more neutral or brightly toned highlight. If you're someone with a COOLER NATURAL BASE, try warming up your look by adding ribbons of golden or peachy highlights to your summer blonde. This allows you to have a more winter-like feel while still feeling bright through the winter.

Highlighting just the mid lengths and ends of the hair is a GREAT ALTERNATIVE. By painting the highlights

at varying heights you can still get the WOW OF BRIGHT COLOR while keeping a softer tone near the face.

Start with a SOFTER AND SLIGHTLY DARKER HUE at the root allowing the brightness to

show through the mid-length and ends. Starting the highlights further up the hair strand

allows you to have MORE DIMENSION AND LONGEVITY.

The COMBINATION OF THESE TONES creates a very natural transition allowing the color to still

look fresh as the hair grows out. To get the most out of your color, style with soft waves;

this makes the lighter pieces appear MORE VIBRANT!

Try WARMING UP YOUR BLONDE with more golden, coppery and nude undertones! By changing the tone of your already lightened hair, it gives you a RICHER FEEL that won't wash you out as your summer tan fades.

During summer we are usually trying to subdue warmth in the hair, while in fall and winter we get to PLAY IT UP! By enhancing a warm natural tone with a buttery blonde highlight it gives a LIT-FROM-WITHIN LOOK. We used a combination of babylights and balayage techniques to achieve this look, which allows it to stay very soft and NATURAL AT THE ROOT but gives a fun pop of color through the ends. This lets her still feel bright without the maintenance of a summer blonde!

With an all over blonde look storming the pages of magazines and celebrities alike, we are starting to see a more UNEXPECTED GOLDEN UNDERTONE in both summer and winter months. We are loving the glow that it brings to the skin and by finding the proper tone and level of warmth to match your skin tone and eye color, we can give you a SUMMER FEEL in sweater weather!

The COLD BREW TREND will continue to be popular this year; it plays on different degrees of similar colors,

by swirling in more neutral and golden tones. This is a great time for those with natural dark hair to dip their toes

into WARMER COLORS without the commitment that lighter hair would require. For this look we reached for Goldwell's newest technology @PURE PIGMENTS. We used a combination of orange and yellow pigments

to achieve an ever changing golden balayage.

MUSHROOM BROWN has been making a splash into the hair color world! To achieve this look we

COMBINE TONES of brown, purples, and ash gray colors. This gives us a MULTI-DIMENSIONAL look for

those looking to move from summer to winter hair with a more UNIQUE, COOLER LOOK.

This creates a VERY LOW MAINTENANCE look

and allows depth to grow and deepen through winter.

We didn't want to choose between warm and cool

highlights so we integrated both a peachy blonde and an ashy blonde to give her this MULTI DIMENSIONAL look.

For those with a medium brown natural color, take advantage of the versatility!

For those not ready to

say goodbye to their

natural born color...

browns are always a staple

in the winter months.

Whether you are ADDING IN HIGHLIGHTS to your previous color or ADDING DIMENSION AND DARKENING your current highlights, putting a spin on the hair you were wearing through the summer

helps you to bring that pop into the CHANGING SEASON.

ROSE BROWN

CARISSA, COLORIST

A fun way for a brunette to COMMIT TO A ROSE GOLD COLOR

without losing their identity as a brunette.

While it did take a lightening service (full foil) for me to achieve this look, I kept her

integrity in mind and made sure to leave enough brown to balance the look.

I used a ROSE HUED GLOSS to add shine and create her

PERFECT CUSTOM FASHION COLOR.

VIOLET BROWN

A fun take on a CUSTOM FASHION COLOR!

I used PURE PIGMENTS to add shine and reflection. It is fun and bright,

but will not have a harsh line of regrowth. Custom fashion color

maintenance is required EVERY 6 WEEKS.

VANILLA

BLONDE

Bright, beige blonde that we achieved using a FOILAYAGE (foil+balayage) TECHNIQUE.

Using that technique, we are able to get much lighter in one session.

She can be a bright, vanilla blonde with MINIMAL WARM TONES & MINIMAL MAINTENANCE.

For at home maintenance, she uses Oribe Bright Blonde Shampoo and Conditioner.

brown

A rich, shiny chocolate brown with RED VIOLET HUES. I used PURE PIGMENTS

to create 3D shine and a red violet reflection.

ICE BLONDE

This color was done on natural level 3 hair, she had gone to another salon

where she was left brassy and WASN'T LIGHT ENOUGH.

Using a FOILAYAGE TECHNIQUE, I was able to lift her to a very pale blonde and then used a

CUSTOM ICY GLOSS with blue pure pigments to control warmth and REPLENISH some of the

NATURAL SHINE that is lost during the lightening process.

CARAMEL

BEIGE

A timeless, low maintenance way to

BRIGHTEN UP YOUR LIGHT BROWN HAIR and add some dimension.

This client only retouches her hair TWICE A YEAR.

I did a partial balayage and a gloss for SHINE AND WARMTH control.
